How do I send my first outreach?
Open Discover, swipe right (or click Apply) on a professor card you like. The composer opens with a draft you can edit. Click "Generate draft" to have the AI write a personalized first pass — it uses 1 token from your plan.
Do I have to connect Gmail?
No — you can build your profile, browse matches, and save drafts without Gmail. Connect Gmail later from your profile when you want to actually send mail and sync replies into profFinder.
What counts as an AI credit?
One credit covers one AI call: a draft, a refine, a match explanation, or a resume tailor. Plan limits reset monthly on your billing date. Bonus credits from referrals stack on top of the plan cap.
How does refer & earn work?
Share your referral code or link from Refer & earn. When your friend signs up with the code and verifies their student email, both accounts get bonus credits added on top of the plan cap.
What if a professor isn't in your directory?
Add them as a Custom contact. The Direct reach out button (purple FAB at the bottom of the sidebar) opens your custom list — click Prepare message to draft outreach the same way as for indexed professors.
